    • This book is about how luck impacts us, and how to manage it. Read anything by Taleb.
  • Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackey
    • A great history lesson of bubbles, panics and bear markets. This book is a must read.
  • Trading Mindfully by Gary Dayton
    • This is my favorite book on trading psychology. It digs deep into the mental aspect of trading and behavioral finance.

  • Billions
    • The story of a hedge fund manager versus the U.S Attorney. It’s loosely based off Steve Cohen’s battle with the government. This is one of my all-time favorite shows. A must watch.
  • Succession
    • The story of a media conglomerate family, loosely based off the New York Times family and the Murdoch “Fox family”. It’s your classic dramedy filled with drama, power dynamics and dark funny.
  • Black Monday
    • The story of a second rate stockbroker battling “the man” as they head towards the 1987 “Black Monday” stock market meltdown.

• Watch these movies

  • Trading Places
    • This one’s my favorite Eddie Murphy film and inspired the famous “Turtle Traders” experiment.
  • Wall Street
    • Everybody knows the line “Greed is Good” by one of the greatest modern day characters of our time, Gordon Gecko.
  • Boiler Room
    • A bunch of young hungry stock brokers in an illegal boiler room, obviously included by Gordon Gecko.
  • The Big Short
    • A fantastic move about how one guy bet against the housing market and became rich during the 2008 Crash.
  • Inside Job
    • The amazing documentary the that inspired The Big Short.
